Write a nursery rhyme that no mother should recite.
Set in a crumbling manor, whispered by a dying tree, or embedded in the hum of a broken monitor.
Your story can take the form of a poem, flash fiction, or narrative monologue.
But it must feel like a nursery rhyme — with rhythm, beauty, and something that shouldn’t be there.
Let the sweetness rot. Let the comfort bite back.
Let the voice telling it… not be who we think it is.”

Hi. I just noticed on the submission form it asks how closely it adheres to the "cold comes calling" theme, but I don't see mention of that in this post. Is that also part of the prompt?
